Today, there are many persons whose lives have been shattered by divorce. The Church wishes to provide ministry to them.
It is important to remember that if a person is divorced but has not remarried, that person is free to celebrate the sacraments of the Church. However, if a divorced person desires to remarry, they must first talk to their pastor about the annulment process. (Please note that an annulment has no legal effects on the children that were born to the couple.) Anyone desiring information on the process of annulments is asked to contact the pastor. The annulment process itself is handled by the Diocesan Matrimonial Tribunal.
