63rd International Rosary March - May 4 - 2:00 pm
  St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman St., Hammond. INTENTION: That the month of May brings us closer to our Blessed Mother as the Mother of Hope, for an end to abortion, the protection of our military, and world peace. The Rosary will be prayed in church for those unable to march. Sponsored by the Gary Diocese-Blue Army. For more information, call 836-8779.

Gethsemani Trappist Abbey Vocational Retreats - Starting May 9
  The famous Gethsemani Trappist Abbey in Trappist Kentucky will be hosting free live-In Vocational retreats.   The Worldwide Marriage Encounter Community of Northwest Indiana will present Une Soiree de Roman (An Evening of Romance)...an affordable, French-themed, dinner-for-two where couples will have a candlelit opportunity to reconnect & rekindle their marriage.   The Holy Name Society will be sponsoring our annual Mother’s Day breakfast in the Parish Hall. All Ladies of our parish along with your Mothers, Grandmothers, Daughters, Sisters, and grade school age sons are cordially invited.

  Teens welcome to St. Mary School’s “TEEN NIGHT” - All 6th, 7th & 8th grade students from local schools are invited to join us on Friday, May 16 at St. Mary School, 405 E. Pray, Come, and See Program - May 16 to 22
  The Sisters of Providence at St. Mary of the Woods, IN are having various come and pray, come, & see programs. May 16-22 for women in their 20’s and 30’s. Retrouvaille - begins June 13
  Retrouvaille...A Lifeline For Troubled Marriages - Do you feel lost, alone, or bored in your marriage? Are you frustrated, hurt, or angry with your spouse? Are you constantly fighting? World Youth Day - July 2008
  Youth and young adults (16-30’s) are invited on a pilgrimage to World Youth Day, July, 2008.  Included WYD festivities, including liturgy with the Holy Father. Additionally, the group will journey on a memorable pilgrimage that will include tours of sites in Sydney & Canberra, as well as religious formation and liturgy. Estimated per person cost is $3800, includes transportation, hotel, tours, and most meals. First deposit of $500 is due to the diocese by January 15th, 2007 to secure participation. Youth who will be under 18 in July, 2008 must be under the guidance of a chaperone. For a complete itinerary, contact Kevin Driscoll (769-9292x229) or visit dcgary.org/youth/wyd08.htm. Caregivers Support Group
  St. John the Evangelist Parish, in partnership with Franciscan Communities, offers a monthly Caregivers Support Group meeting on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 pm. Susan Walstra, RN, serves as group facilitator. All those who are providing for the health care needs of adult relatives and friends are invited. The Wounded Healers Grief Support Groups
